Ah, Durian Tofu Dessert. Durian is a popular fruit here. I just grab a pack of normal quality durian from the supermarket and make this dessert.
Preparation: 8 minutes
Ingredients (serves 2)
° 1 pack silken tofu (300g)
° 100g-150g durian, deseeded
° sugar to taste
Method
1. Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
2. Serve chilled.

ReplyDeletetofu is a godsend for us to help make pudding. Actually you can make a delicious choc mousse of just melting some non-diary choc with hot soy milk and blending it together with silken tofu and some sugar. Very delicious and creamy.

ReplyDeleteA quick solution. You tasted Jollibean Beancurd dessert before? Or Mr Bean sell beancurd dessert? Is that smoothness ok? If yes, buy without anything add to it.
Next, need to find the Spicy Sauce in glass bottle, need to source around.
What next, I guess is to add fragrant oil and the spicy sauce, condiments to the beancurd.
Silken tofu, not that sure. Unless we can made the beancurd ourself, which i don't have the recipe.
In fact, the veg eateries here can easily recreate this. Is Lao Di Fang's tofu smoothness enough? I heard is smooth, the sauce, they could find easily.

ReplyDeleteThanks, no, I did not try the 2 you mentioned bf but this morning as your advice, I asked for a plain beancurb from a local soya drink stall with long queue.
Abit disappointed as the beancurb not as smooth as I remembered. I added my favourite belachan chilli, (more of the chilli oil portion), abit of light soy sauce & even without sesame oil, it already tasted nice, but too bad cannot recreate the "麻" portion or else it will taste even better...
Nevertheless, I will consider it a success & will have to find a smoother beancurb to improve it further...

The "麻" portion, need to get Ma La sauce. U put up what you tried in your blog?
I remember Mr Bean (just can't remember they got beancurd or not), they are constantly creating new stuff, maybe they might create this.
