Hi Crystal,
ReplyDeleteSounds interesting to use plum sauce for avocado.
Thought plum sauce is sweet & sour enough. Is the sugar normal beverage sugar or brown sugar to be used? The sugar & lime juice to be added to enhance the taste?
Cheers:-)
Hi
ReplyDeleteHoney or maple syrup is commonly used for salad. Then, vinegar is added - sweet & sour :) That's how i derive the idea of using Plum sauce, which has a different type of sour & sweet.
CNY Yu Sheng is using plum sauce as the base, it tastes good.
Normal sugar will do, it is added to reduce the sourness of the lime juice and impact a little sweetness the water used. It tastes different with lime juice added.
Same go with the chilli dipping sauce - lime juice, sugar, light soy sauce and fresh chilli padi.
Cheers,
