Mango Ice Lolly

Something simple, healthy and compassionate! When it starts to melt, it tastes like sorbet. Kids will love it, they have their fruit and at the same time stop their craving for ice cream.

Preparation: 10 mins

Ingredients (makes 4)
° 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
° 125ml (1 orange) freshly squeezed orange juice or orange juice
° 2 tablespoons icing sugar or powder sugar, to taste

Method

1. Combine all the ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth and creamy. Taste it, add more sugar, if necessary and blend to mix well.
2. Pour into ice lolly mould and place in the freezer until frozen for at least 3 – 4 hours.

Chocolate soya ice-cream stick!

I am going to make Green Tea Ice lolly soon. My boy has been requesting for green tea ice cream since last month.

Green tea powder + silken tofu + sugar!

Any fruits, strawberry, avocado ... I guess as long as what you like, it will definitely taste good

:)

Hi Crystal,

Can we cut down the amount for the sugar?

Yes Emily :)

If very sweet and ripe mangoes are used and the juice from the orange is sweet, the amount of sugar can be reduced greatly.

If fact, for diabetic, the sugar can be totally omitted.

I used 2 Tbsps, as the icing sugar that I had compare to normal fine sugar is not sweet.

It is best to add little sugar and taste it after blending. If it is not sweet, add more.

Cheers :)
